London has six major international airports and Stansted and Luton are two of them. Below is a brief description about these two airports.

Stansted Airport

Stansted is London’s major base for low cost airlines.  The airport has a single terminal which is well equipped with all basic facilities. The terminal building is made up of three major parts: The arrivals hall, the Departure area and the Check in areas. The terminal is a state of the art building with Britain’s tallest air traffic control and three satellite buildings. Buses and transfer coaches can be accessed at a few meters from the terminal. The train station is directly below the building. Taxis can be availed outside the terminal close to the arrivals lounge. The airport offers lots of options for shopping and refreshments.  Wireless internet is available throughout the airport and is free for the first 60 minutes. Internet kiosks are also found before and after the security check.  The airport’s lounges offer a panoramic view of the entire city. Friendly staffs at the airport act as a reliable source for a Stansted airport guide.

Luton Airport

Luton is the UK’s 7th busiest airport and serves about 9 million passengers every year. Major destinations served by the airport are Europe, Asia and North America. The airport has one passenger terminal which was last improvised in 1999.  The terminal has all basic facilities such as restrooms, infant rooms, currency exchange kiosks, pay phones, charging ports and cash machines. The airport offers a great variety of shops ranging from clothing to confectionaries. For passenger refreshment needs there are several coffee bars and restaurants.  Free wireless connectivity, wired internet kiosks and printing stations are other perks that the airport offers.  Business lounges and conference rooms are also available at the airport. These lounges are a real treat to passengers and all Luton airport guides boast about the luxury they offer. To travel into the city from Luton, passengers can avail the National express coach, public buses or trains. Taxis are available right outside the terminal building. Cheap and ample parking spaces are also available at the airport.
